Are you a hands-on, reliable individual with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a dedicated Caretaker/Site Manager to join a dynamic school environment in Bury, where you’ll be at the heart of maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors.
In this full-time role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school site—from unlocking and locking premises to carrying out essential maintenance tasks, handling health and safety checks, and supporting with site security. You’ll play a crucial part in making sure the facilities are clean, functional, and ready to support learning.
To be successful, you’ll need relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 in Caretaking, Facilities Services, Property Maintenance, or similar, and preferably UK school-based experience. You should be physically fit, as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment are part of the daily routine. Basic DIY skills, a solid understanding of public safety and security, and the ability to work independently and flexibly are essential.
