Salary: £425 – £450 per week
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
⏰ Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 – 8 hours
About the Role
Are you confident, organized, and ready to inspire students? We are looking for a dynamic School Cover Supervisor to join a fantastic school in Dudley. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in education or those aspiring to become teachers. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities – as a School Cover Supervisor, you will:
• Supervise and manage a classroom, ensuring students remain on task with their pre-set work.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide support to students, helping them engage with the lesson content.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth day-to-day operation.
• Offer feedback to teachers on student participation and progress after the lesson.
Person Specification:
• Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths; further education qualifications are desirable.
• Experience: Prior experience in a school setting or working with young people is advantageous.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strong classroom management, and adaptability.
• Passion: A genuine interest in supporting students’ education and well-being.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate: On the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
