About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Dudley. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, and eager to help students reach their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities – as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support for students with SEN.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Support teachers in creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Help students develop confidence and independence in their learning.
• Manage classroom behavior, ensuring a calm and productive environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure students’ needs are met.
• Assist with personal care needs when required.
Person Specification:
• Qualifications: A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
• Skills: Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential.
• Passion: A commitment to supporting the personal and academic growth of students.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate: On the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
