Join rTriibe and play a key role in supporting children with special educational needs in a secondary school setting. We are looking for a passionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to provide exceptional 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with teachers to develop effective, innovative strategies that promote student growth and independence.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with diverse needs, including visual and hearing impairments, Dyslexia, EAL, and challenging behaviours.
• Assist students requiring personal care and help manage trauma-related needs, using your PRU experience to create a nurturing environment.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff to foster an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere.
• Promote safeguarding and the well-being of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience working with students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Expertise in handling challenging behaviours, with a patient and proactive approach.
• Knowledge of personal care needs and trauma-informed practices.
• Familiarity with PRU settings and experience supporting diverse learning needs.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
