About the Role:
Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant ready to step into a Higher Level Teaching Assistant role? We are looking for a HLTA to join our team in Wolverhampton, where you will take on a more active role in lesson delivery, student engagement, and supporting teachers in curriculum activities. This role is perfect for those ready to advance their careers and take on greater responsibility within an educational setting.
This position offers the chance to develop teaching skills, lead groups, and play a key part in helping students achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities – as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Deliver Lessons: Lead planned lessons and activities in the absence of the teacher, maintaining a structured and positive environment.
• Support Learning: Provide one-on-one and small group support to reinforce learning, especially for students with additional needs.
• Classroom Management: Assist with classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful learning space for all students.
• Resource Development: Help design and prepare educational materials to support teaching goals.
• Monitor Progress: Track and report on student progress, offering feedback to both students and teachers to encourage improvement.
• Mentorship: Act as a role model and provide mentorship to other Teaching Assistants, supporting their professional growth.
Person Specification:
• Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent is required.
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and classroom management abilities.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with the capability to lead lessons and support students with diverse learning needs.
• Other Requirements: Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
