Are you passionate about supporting students with additional learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential? rTriibe is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Additional Learning Needs Teaching Assistant to support schools in Wrexham. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by assisting pupils with special educational needs, disabilities, or learning difficulties within a supportive educational environment.
As an Additional Learning Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the guidance and support they need to succeed both academically and socially. You will play an important role in promoting inclusion and helping pupils build confidence and independence within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
• Assist teachers in implementing individual learning plans and adapting teaching materials to meet students’ needs.
• Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
• Support the emotional, social, and academic development of pupils.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and relevant staff members.
• Assist with classroom management and daily learning activities.
Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs or Additional Learning Needs is desirable.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to provide two professional references covering the last 24 months.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a supportive approach when working with students.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering competitive pay and the opportunity to work within supportive school environments.
