Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive school in Blackburn. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping students overcome challenges and develop both academically and emotionally.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with their behaviour and emotional well-being. You will implement effective strategies, provide one-on-one mentoring, and promote positive behaviour management within the school environment. Your ability to build trust and strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents will be key in creating a safe and encouraging learning atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will have UK school-based experience, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one), and hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant degree in psychology, education, or social work. Up-to-date Prevent Awareness Training and Behaviour Management Training are required. Strong communication skills, patience, resilience, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
