We are currently seeking a full-time Caretaker/Site Manager to join a supportive educational setting in Bury. The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools, a Certificate in Property, Caretaking and Facilities, or a Property Maintenance Level 2 Diploma. Strong basic DIY skills are essential, along with reasonable physical fitness to manage lifting and carrying tasks throughout the site. Your knowledge of public safety and security will be crucial in ensuring the smooth running and safeguarding of the premises. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to adapt your schedule to meet the needs of the school, including occasional evening or weekend duties.
In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including site security, minor repairs, general maintenance, and liaising with contractors to ensure all facilities are safe and fully operational. Your proactive approach will help keep the school looking its best and functioning efficiently. You’ll also play a key part in maintaining health and safety standards, helping to create a positive and safe learning environment for all.
