About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity in KS3-KS5 classrooms, stepping in during short-term teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:
• Classroom Management: Take charge in the classroom, ensuring students stay focused on pre-prepared exercises.
• Providing Support and Structure: Engage with students, answer questions, and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Collecting and Returning Work: Gather completed tasks, ensuring that all assignments are submitted for teacher review.
• Subject Specialism Advantage: While all backgrounds are welcome, experience in maths, science, or English is a bonus!
What You’ll Need
• A strong, confident personality with a proven ability to manage classroom behaviour
• Experience in UK classrooms (prior Cover Supervisor or teaching assistant experience preferred)
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
• Flexibility and enthusiasm to work across various schools and age groups
