Are you a passionate Design and Technology Teacher with a special flair for Textiles? Do you want to inspire young minds and foster creativity in the heart of Manchester? If so, rTriibe has the perfect opportunity for you! We’re looking for a talented educator to join our team and teach KS3 to KS4, including GCSE Textiles, in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and innovative Textiles lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach GCSE Textiles, guiding students through practical projects and theoretical concepts.
• Foster a creative and hands-on approach to learning, encouraging students to experiment with materials and techniques.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore their ideas.
• Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their growth.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Design and Technology department to develop the curriculum.
• Ensure students understand the real-world applications of textiles, from fashion design to sustainable practices.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, such as after-school clubs or design competitions, to nurture students’ talents.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• A degree in Textiles, Design and Technology, or a related field (engineering or technological subjects are a plus).
• PGCE, QTS, PGDE, or QTLS certification in Design and Technology.
• Experience teaching KS3, KS4, and GCSE Textiles in a UK school.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for textiles and design.
• Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering creativity and innovation.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (essential).
