Are you a practical and forward-thinking educator with a passion for innovation and hands-on learning? rTriibe is on the lookout for a Design & Technology Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Trafford. This full-time position offers a daily rate of £150 and above, providing an excellent opportunity for someone with a creative edge and a commitment to high-quality technical education.
To be successful in this role, you should hold a Ba/BSc (Hons) including QTS, or be a qualified ECT, NQT or QTLS. We welcome candidates with a PGCE in Secondary Design and Technology, a PGDE, or an MDTechEd. A solid academic foundation, including 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A to C)* in English, Maths, and Science, is also essential. You must either already have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one, and prior UK school experience is strongly preferred.
This role is ideal for someone with an in-depth understanding of Design and Technology, from resistant materials and electronics to CAD/CAM and graphic design. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and innovative lessons that spark creativity and problem-solving in your students. Your classroom should foster exploration, technical curiosity, and teamwork, all underpinned by strong classroom and behaviour management strategies.
