This full-time opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives on turning ideas into reality and inspiring students to explore the world of design, engineering, and problem-solving.
In this role, you’ll lead engaging and practical lessons that spark curiosity and build essential skills in areas such as product design, resistant materials, electronics, and graphic design. You’ll deliver a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and technical proficiency, while maintaining strong classroom and behaviour management to ensure a focused and supportive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ba/BSc (Hons) with QTS, be an ECT, NQT, or hold QTLS, along with a PGCE in Secondary Design and Technology, PGDE, or MDTechEd. A sound understanding of the subject and prior experience in a UK classroom setting are essential. You’ll also need 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A to C)* or equivalent, including English, Maths, and Science, and must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
