We are seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Technician to join a thriving educational setting in Burnley, offering a competitive rate of £90 and above. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in supporting students and staff within the Design & Technology department, ensuring a safe and well-equipped learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have UK school-based experience or a similar background, with GCSEs (A-C) in English, Maths, and at least one Science subject or a degree-level qualification in a Design-related subject. A strong knowledge of Design & Technology processes and proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD software are essential. You should also be confident using IT applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
As a Design & Technology Technician, you will assist with lesson preparation, maintain and set up equipment, and ensure that all health and safety regulations are met. Holding an appropriate health and safety qualification, such as the Design and Technology Association’s “Secondary Core Level Health and Safety” training, will be highly advantageous. The ability to work to deadlines, support teaching staff, and help inspire students in their learning journey is key to success in this role.
