Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician looking to support creative learning in a vibrant school environment? We are seeking a full-time D&T Technician to join a dynamic secondary school in Bury, where your expertise will play a key role in inspiring the next generation of designers and makers. Ideally, you will have UK school-based experience or similar, alongside at least GCSEs (A-C) in English, Maths, and a science subject, or a degree-level qualification in a Design-related field. Your solid knowledge and hands-on experience in Design and Technology, including proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software, will ensure you can support both students and teachers effectively. A good level of competency using IT applications such as Gmail and Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides is essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines and manage a busy workshop environment. Health and safety is a priority, so holding appropriate qualifications like the Design and Technology Association’s “Secondary Core Level Health and Safety” training is highly desirable. If you are organised, proactive, and passionate about helping students bring their ideas to life, we encourage you to apply. Candidates with an Enhanced DBS in the Update Service are preferred, but those willing to obtain one are also welcomed. Rate: £90-100 per day
