Job Title: EAL Teaching Assistant – Bradford
Location: Bradford
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant to support secondary students in Bradford. This role is ideal for someone who understands the linguistic and educational needs of EAL learners and is passionate about helping them succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the learning and development of students with EAL needs
Assist in delivering tailored support within the classroom environment
Foster inclusion and encourage student participation and engagement
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
Help create a welcoming and supportive learning space
Essential Requirements:
A recognised TESL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent qualification
Experience supporting EAL or ALN students in a classroom setting
Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one other language (e.g. Urdu, Arabic, etc.)
Experience working with secondary-aged students in a school environment
A positive, hard-working, and resilient attitude
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Availability to work full-time
