rTriibe is recruiting a confident and motivated English Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Flintshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong academic background in English who are keen to gain further classroom experience and make a positive impact on students’ learning.
You will supervise lessons during short-term teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning for pupils across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching or experienced cover supervisors seeking flexible opportunities.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Supervise pre-set English lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Deliver clear instructions and ensure students remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students’ learning and respond to general questions
• Collect and return completed work to the appropriate staff member
• Maintain a safe, productive, and respectful learning environment
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and behaviour
Requirements:
• BA (Hons) in English Language or a related subject
• GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting
• Willingness to travel across Flintshire
• Two up-to-date professional references
