About the Exam Invigilator Role
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring exams are conducted in line with JCQ and school regulations, providing a calm, professional, and supportive environment for students. Your presence helps candidates focus and perform at their best while maintaining exam integrity.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure correct seating arrangements
• Welcome students, check attendance, and guide candidates to their seats
• Clearly explain exam rules and regulations before exams begin
• Supervise exams to ensure compliance with examination procedures
• Respond appropriately to student queries during exams
• Support safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies
• Report any incidents or irregularities to the exams officer
Essential Skills and Requirements
• Previous exam invigilator or UK school-based experience preferred
• Familiarity with safeguarding procedures in schools
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain vigilant throughout exams
• Professional, calm, and supportive approach with students
• Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Availability for full-time work during exam periods
• Two references covering the last 24 months
