Are you confident, adaptable, and ready to step into a dynamic classroom environment? rTriibe is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Bury. This full-time role is ideal for individuals looking to gain more classroom experience, perhaps as a step toward a teaching career, or for those who enjoy the fast-paced variety that cover work offers.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a productive and positive classroom environment during teacher absences. You will deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects, ensuring that pupils stay on task and engage with their learning. You’ll need to manage classroom behaviour effectively and be prepared to adapt your approach to different age groups and learning needs.
Ideal candidates will have UK school-based experience and a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A to C) including English and Maths*. While qualifications like a Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a PGCE are not required, they’re certainly advantageous. What’s most important is your energy, patience, confidence, and a good sense of humour. You’ll also need strong behaviour management skills and the ability to think on your feet in diverse classroom settings. Rate: £85.04-above per day
