Job Title: Graduate Cover Supervisor

Key Information:
• Position: Cover Supervisor (Secondary Schools)
• Degree Requirement: 2:1 or above UK degree
• Start Date: Immediate start or January 2025
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours (term time only)
• Pay: Up to £450 per week
• Location: Easily accessible schools with excellent links to public transport
Role Overview: As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you’ll support secondary school students by:
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across various subjects
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help students achieve their potential
• Assisting teachers in lesson preparation and classroom management
• Acting as a positive role model and supporting pupil engagement
This role is ideal for graduates who are considering a future in teaching and looking to gain invaluable classroom experience before a PGCE or similar qualification.
Person Specification:
• Degree: 2:1 or above from a UK university
• Academic Background: Strong academic history
• Communication Skills: Confident communicator who can inspire and engage students
• Role Model: Resilient, positive, and dependable
• Experience: Prior experience working with young people or tutoring is advantageous
• Career Aspirations: Ideal for aspiring teachers
Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
