We are currently recruiting an experienced and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a primary school setting in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and capable professional looking for a full-time, long-term role where they can make a real impact.
Key Requirements:
• HLTA qualification – Essential
• Experience working in primary schools, with flexibility across KS1 and KS2
• Strong background supporting pupils with SEN and knowledge of safeguarding practices
• Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes
• Capable of assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress in line with school standards
• Confident and enthusiastic about working with children of varying needs and abilities
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent) – Essential
• Proficient ICT skills to support learning and maintain records
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills
• Must have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality learning activities with guidance from teaching staff
• Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Support the academic and personal development of pupils
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs
• Promote the wellbeing and safeguarding of all pupils
