As an HLTA, you’ll step confidently into the classroom, leading learning activities, supporting pupils across multiple year groups, and stepping in for teachers when required. With UK school-based experience, a Level 4 or 5 qualification in Teaching Assistance or Supporting Teaching and Learning, and appropriate credentials up to Foundation Degree level or HLTA professional qualification, you’re equipped to thrive.
We’re looking for someone with Level 2 Maths and English, trained in key strategies like literacy support, and ideally with specialist skills such as sign language. You’ll use ICT effectively, build positive relationships, and inspire trust and confidence in both students and colleagues. Your creative thinking, ability to solve problems, and interest in self-development will be key to your success.
