Are you a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant seeking your next long-term opportunity in a supportive primary school environment?
We are currently recruiting for a passionate HLTA to support both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils across a range of classroom settings in Wigan. This is a full-time, long-term position ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic educational setting and is confident planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning activities
• Support pupils on an individual, group, or whole-class basis
• Assess, record, and report on pupils’ progress
• Promote a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff and wider school community
Requirements:
• HLTA qualification (Essential)
• Previous experience working in Primary Schools (KS1 and KS2)
• Strong background in SEN support and safeguarding practices
• English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent
• Competent ICT skills
• A valid, enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service – or willingness to apply for one
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people
