Are you passionate about history and enthusiastic about working with young learners? rTriibe is seeking a dedicated and confident History Cover Supervisor to join our growing team in Trafford. This full-time position offers the opportunity to bring historical topics to life while supporting students during their lessons in the absence of their regular teacher.
As a History Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering pre-set lesson content, managing classroom behaviour, and maintaining a positive learning environment. You’ll support students in understanding key historical events, figures, and themes while ensuring they stay engaged and on task. Your ability to manage a class independently and maintain structure will be crucial to success in this role.
We’re looking for candidates with a strong grasp of historical subjects and excellent classroom management skills. While having a relevant qualification—such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate or PGCE—is a plus, it’s not essential. You should have prior experience in a UK school environment, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one), and a genuine enthusiasm for education. A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and Maths, is required.
