Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to make a meaningful impact in a primary school setting? We are recruiting for a full-time, long-term HLTA to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a welcoming school in Huddersfield.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupils’ progress
• Foster a positive and safe learning environment
• Support pupils with diverse needs, including those with SEN
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and contribute to high standards of safeguarding
Candidate Requirements:
• HLTA qualification is essential
• Experience working in primary schools, with flexibility across KS1 and KS2
• Strong background in SEN and safeguarding practices
• Confident ICT skills to support modern learning environments
• English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their full potential
