As a Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development. Working closely with both teaching staff and families, you’ll build strong relationships with students, offering one-to-one and small group mentoring to help them build confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes toward education. Your presence will be key in creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in UK schools and hold—or be willing to obtain—an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. While not required, qualifications such as a Level 3 in Mentoring, Level 4 Learning and Skills Mentor, or equivalent support credentials are highly desirable. The ability to listen, motivate, and gain the trust of students, teachers, and parents is crucial for this role. Your patience, encouragement, and strong communication skills will help you connect meaningfully with young learners.
