Are you a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Rochdale, providing one-on-one and small-group support to help pupils thrive academically and personally.
In this role, you will work closely with the teaching staff and SENCO team, assisting in delivering tailored learning strategies and creating an inclusive classroom environment. You will use your strong literacy and numeracy skills to support students’ educational progress while also fostering confidence, independence, and social development. Your ability to remain patient, flexible, and understanding will be key in helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
To be considered, you must have a Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification, RQF – TQUK Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 Certificate, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) certification, or equivalent. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is required, along with previous experience in a UK school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills are essential, and experience supporting SEN pupils is highly desirable.
