Are you a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs? rTriibe is seeking a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school setting in Wigan. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students who need it most.
As a vital member of the team, you will provide focused 1-1 or small group support, working alongside teaching staff to ensure each pupil receives the tailored guidance they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll bring your strong classroom management, excellent understanding of child development, and a patient, friendly attitude to every interaction, helping to build confidence and independence in learners.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent such as the RQF – TQUK Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 Certificate), 5 GCSEs (A to C)* or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths, and previous UK school experience—especially working with SEN pupils. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential or a willingness to obtain one.
