A welcoming and inclusive school in Manchester is seeking a full-time Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. As a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide one-to-one and small group support for students with additional needs. Your role will be instrumental in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning by adapting materials, offering emotional support, and implementing individual education plans (IEPs). Strong behaviour management, excellent communication, and a nurturing, flexible approach will be vital in creating a safe and productive learning environment.
To succeed in this role, you must have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (e.g., RQF – TQUK Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, Higher Level Teaching Assistant), along with GCSEs A to C in English and Maths*, or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is required. Previous experience in a UK school or similar setting is essential, as are strong teamwork skills, a sound understanding of child development, and the ability to support a variety of learning and emotional needs.
