Are you a passionate and energetic individual who enjoys working with young people and has a strong interest in Physical Education? rTriibe is on the hunt for a dynamic PE Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant school in Manchester. This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident, enthusiastic, and ready to step into a key support role within the school’s PE department.
As a PE Cover Supervisor, you’ll take charge of delivering set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, keeping students engaged in a variety of physical activities. Your role will involve managing behaviour effectively, encouraging teamwork and fair play, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils. You’ll also support the broader school community during non-PE lessons when required, demonstrating flexibility and a can-do attitude.
While formal qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a PGCE, are preferred, they’re not essential. What matters most is your experience in a UK school setting, your excellent communication skills, and your ability to manage classroom behaviour. You must have 5 GCSEs (grades 9 to 4/A* to C), including English and Maths, and either have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
