Roles and Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 to KS5, tailoring content to suit a range of abilities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment, promoting academic excellence and personal development.
• Employ effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive classroom atmosphere.
• Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on students’ progress, ensuring they reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and well-being.
• Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and extracurricular activities to enrich the school community.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Science in UK classrooms, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• A passion for Science and a creative approach to teaching that captures students’ imaginations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to professional growth.
