We are looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in a Manchester-based school. This role involves leading activities and fostering positive development in a safe and supportive environment.
Role Overview:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Lead activities with individuals or small groups of students to facilitate their physical, emotional, and educational development
• Promote and reinforce self-esteem and encourage positive behaviour
• Work closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Provide a safe learning environment where students can thrive
• Ensure strong oral communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with students and staff
Requirements:
• Experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Available for full-time work or at least 3 days a week
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for students
