Join rTriibe as we seek an exceptional SEMH Teaching Assistant ready to make a difference in Northampton schools. If you’re passionate about working with young people with challenging behaviour, SEN, and mental health needs, this dynamic role could be your perfect match. You’ll need an enhanced DBS check, literacy and numeracy skills, and ideally, an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
Your day-to-day will be varied and rewarding, from supporting pupils with SEN, including SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or Attachment Disorder, to assisting with the implementation of education, health, and care plans (EHCPs). You’ll build nurturing relationships, helping students to re-engage with their learning journey. A background in behavior management and resilience to handle challenging situations gracefully are a must.
This role not only demands essential skills but also offers the opportunity for you to apply specific SEMH training, such as Team-Teach or Trauma-Informed Practice, providing you with a platform to really make your mark.
