This full-time role, with a pay rate starting from £85.04 per day, offers a fulfilling opportunity for someone who thrives in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.
In this role, you’ll be working closely with students who require additional support due to SEMH needs. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored classroom assistance, mentoring pupils one-on-one or in small groups, and helping create an inclusive environment where every learner feels safe, understood, and motivated. Working alongside experienced teachers and SEN staff, you’ll play a critical part in fostering resilience, academic engagement, and personal growth in students who need it most.
The ideal candidate will have school-based or youth work experience, a literacy and numeracy qualification (GCSE grade C or above), and a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable learners. You should be comfortable using basic ICT tools, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and remain calm and empathetic in challenging situations. Experience supporting students with SEN is essential, and any additional training relevant to SEMH or behaviour management would be a strong advantage.
