rTriibe is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bebington. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting children with special educational needs in a structured and nurturing environment.
Role Overview
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, supporting those with Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop socially, and build confidence within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
• Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Implement personalised learning strategies and support plans
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor and report on student progress to teaching staff
Requirements and Qualifications
• Previous experience working within UK school settings
• Experience supporting children with SEN, including Autism and ADHD
• SEND Diploma or equivalent qualification
• Background in Psychology, Criminology, or a related Social Science (preferred)
• SEN Specialist Certificates (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong communication, patience, and behaviour management skills
