Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently recruiting for committed individuals to join our team, working across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 in inclusive and supportive primary school settings.
About the Role
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who can:
• Provide individualised support to children on a 1:1 basis and/or within small group settings
• Work across Early Years, KS1, and KS2 with pupils who have a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, EAL, hearing impairments, visual impairments, and speech and language communication needs
• Support children who have experienced trauma or are placed in PRU (Pupil Referral Units)
• Assist with personal care requirements where necessary
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored learning interventions and behaviour support
• Respond confidently and calmly to challenging behaviour, using positive strategies
• Encourage children’s early development, educational progress, and emotional well-being
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
• Have classroom-based experience in UK primary schools
• Hold a relevant qualification such as a Level 3 SEND Diploma or equivalent
• Be familiar with a wide range of special educational needs and disability provisions
• Be proactive, patient, and resilient with a positive, flexible attitude
• Have experience supporting children with learning disabilities and behavioural needs
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
• Be available full time, Monday to Friday
