We are currently seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across both Primary and Secondary settings in Bradford. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, offering competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group support to children with special educational needs across KS1–KS5
Support pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, EAL, Visual and Hearing Impairments, Speech and Language communication difficulties, trauma, and more
Assist with personal care when required
Work closely with class teachers to deliver inclusive and differentiated learning
Respond effectively to challenging behaviour in a calm and constructive manner
Contribute to children’s early development, growth, and overall well-being
Support learners within PRU or alternative provision environments if needed
Requirements:
Previous UK classroom-based experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
A relevant SEND qualification, such as a SEND Diploma, is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of learning disabilities and experience working with children with additional needs
Awareness and understanding of Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and related conditions
Comfortable supporting pupils requiring personal care
Holds a valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willing to obtain one
First Aid or Paediatric First Aid certification is advantageous
Reliable, proactive, and committed to making a meaningful difference in children’s education
