We are currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school setting in Keighley. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with a competitive pay rate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for children across Primary and Secondary phases
Work closely with class teachers to deliver tailored support plans
Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, Speech & Language needs, Visual/Hearing Impairments, Trauma, and EAL
Assist pupils with personal care if required
Promote engagement, learning, and social development
Manage and respond to challenging behaviour with a calm and proactive approach
Contribute to the early development and growth of children with learning disabilities
Collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
Requirements:
Previous experience in a UK classroom supporting SEN pupils
Experience in PRU or alternative provision settings is an advantage
Hold a relevant SEND qualification such as a SEND Diploma
Understanding and awareness of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs
First Aid or Paediatric First Aid certificate is desirable
Proactive, hardworking, and committed to making a positive impact
Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
