Ready to make a real difference? Join rTriibe as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Wirral and support young learners with special educational needs to reach their full potential. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual with a strong understanding of SEN and experience supporting children with needs such as Autism, ADHD, and dyslexia in a UK classroom setting.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them engage with learning and develop both academically and socially. You will work closely with classroom teachers and other staff members to create a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment where every child can thrive.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other additional needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in classroom activities.
• Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
• Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
• Monitor and report on pupils’ progress and well-being to teachers and relevant staff.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school setting.
• Knowledge or experience working with Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or other additional needs.
• Ability to provide personal care where required.
• A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to working with children.
• Relevant qualifications such as a SEND Diploma or SEN Specialist Certificate are desirable.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
