rTriibe is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants in Wirral to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Primary School settings. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a real difference in young lives and seeking a teaching career in SEND support.
We work closely with local schools to provide highly skilled staff who can support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, ensuring all children have access to inclusive, nurturing education.
Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential 1:1 and small group support, working alongside classroom teachers to promote pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. Your expertise will be applied across a range of SEND needs, helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEND
• Assist with personal care tasks and manage challenging behaviours where necessary
• Support pupils with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, EAL, and speech and language difficulties
• Promote positive mental health and SEMH support in the classroom
• Collaborate with teachers to implement individual learning plans
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience supporting children with SEND in UK primary schools
• Knowledge of autism awareness, ADHD, SEMH, and other SEND conditions
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Two references covering the past 24 months (work, academic, or school-based)
• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive, hard-working approach
