Are you passionate about supporting students in a creative and hands-on learning environment? We are looking for a full-time SEND Design & Technology Technician to join our team in Burnley, offering a competitive rate of £90 and above. In this vital role, you will provide technical support to both students and staff within the Design and Technology department, helping students with special educational needs (SEND) engage with the curriculum and thrive in their learning.
The ideal candidate will have UK school-based experience or a similar background, with at least GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent in English, Maths, and at least one science subject, or a degree in a Design-related field. You should have a solid understanding and experience in Design and Technology, including knowledge of 3D and 2D CAD software. Competency in using IT applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides is essential.
Additionally, health and safety qualifications such as the Design and Technology Association’s “Secondary Core Level Health and Safety” training are required to ensure a safe working environment. Experience with 1-1 support or small group work with SEND students will be an advantage, as you will play a key role in helping students access the equipment and resources needed to succeed.
