In this full-time role, you’ll provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND, helping to create a positive and empowering learning experience tailored to their unique needs. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised strategies and deliver curriculum support with care and compassion.
To thrive in this role, you should hold a Level 4 or 5 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), and have English and Maths at Level 2 or above. You’ll bring hands-on experience from UK school settings, a solid grasp of ICT, and have training in relevant learning strategies like literacy or numeracy. Bonus points if you’ve got specialist skills such as sign language or curriculum-specific expertise.
Your ability to inspire trust, work collaboratively, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of teaching and SEND developments will be key. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
