Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? rTriibe is on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Rochdale. This full-time opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a nurturing educational environment and is committed to helping students with special educational needs (SEN) reach their full potential.
In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, ensuring that they are fully engaged and included in all classroom activities. Your role will involve adapting learning materials, encouraging positive social interactions, and helping students build confidence in their academic and personal development. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills will be key to your success.
The ideal candidate will have UK school-based experience and hold GCSEs (grades 9 to 4/A* to C) in English and Maths, or Level 2 Functional Skills. While holding a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, it is not essential. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a deep understanding of child development, strong literacy and numeracy skills, and the flexibility to adapt to a variety of learning needs. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
