Are you a passionate Religious Education (RE) teacher looking to inspire and educate students about faith, ethics, and philosophy? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to join a school in Oldham, where you will play a vital role in broadening students’ understanding of world religions, moral issues, and cultural diversity.
As a Teacher of RE, you will deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to explore different beliefs, values, and ethical dilemmas. You will foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment, equipping students with critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of religious and moral perspectives. With strong classroom and behaviour management skills, you will create a supportive learning atmosphere that allows all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to thrive.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ba/BSc (Hons) with QTS, be an ECT or NQT, and possess a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills are essential, along with an enthusiastic approach to working with children. Previous UK school teaching experience and experience supporting SEN students are highly desirable. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or you must be willing to obtain one.
