We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Tameside. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in UK schools who is passionate about making a positive impact in the classroom.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 settings
• Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities
• Offer 1:1 and small group support, tailored to pupil needs
• Assist pupils with daily routines, classroom transitions, and behaviour management
• Help prepare and maintain a stimulating and organised classroom environment
• Contribute to record-keeping and progress monitoring as required
• Follow school safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure pupil wellbeing
• Be proactive in supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
What We’re Looking For:
• A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
• Strong understanding of the UK educational system
• Prior experience working in a UK school setting is essential
• Confident supporting pupils in EYFS, KS1, and KS2
• Knowledge of safeguarding and commitment to pupil welfare
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, nurturing attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
