We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bradford. This full-time role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
Key Requirements:
• Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) – Essential
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Experience in a UK school setting or strong understanding of the UK education system
• Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within whole class settings
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to pupil needs
• Skilled in promoting positive behaviour, routine support, and smooth transitions
• Experience across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 – Desirable
• Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
• Committed to promoting high self-esteem, independence, and pupil wellbeing
• Familiarity with safeguarding practices and school policies
• Proactive, organised, and reliable with a genuine passion for education
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing learning environments and resources
• Support pupils with academic tasks and personal development
• Follow lesson plans and support classroom learning in line with school policies
• Coordinate support activities within the classroom or specific focus areas
• Promote the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider staff to deliver high-quality support
