- Strong understanding of History
- Classroom and behaviour management skills
- Great energy, patience, and a sense of humour
- Preferably completed a Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools, a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision, or PGCE
- 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
