- UK school-based experience or equivalent
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate (or NVQ/CACHE Level 2 TA, or RQF/TQUK Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2/3 Certificate)
- Sensitivity and understanding
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Flexible and open to change

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
A minimum of 2 references covering the past 24 months
