- Experience working with children, youth mentoring, support work, or special educational needs (SEND) is highly valued.
- Formal training like CACHE or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Education, or Supporting Teaching and Learning is often desirable.
- High levels of patience, resilience, and empathy are essential, along with skills in de-escalation during challenging situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust-based relationships.
