- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, preferable but not required
- Specialized training in areas such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH
- High levels of patience, adaptability, and empathy
