- Experience with SEND and SEMH
- SEN-specific training: autism awareness, ADHD support, Makaton or BSL, behaviour management
- Essential qualities: patience, empathy, resilience, strong verbal communication
- Level 2 or 3 Certificate/Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is desirable
