Most cover requests are confirmed within minutes. Our AI matches your shift to available, vetted candidates instantly, and they're notified via the app — many accept and confirm before you've even closed the booking screen.

For urgent same-morning cover, our 24/7 live chat team can also escalate manually.

How does your pricing work?

We charge a fixed margin on top of the candidate's day rate. Both the candidate's pay and our margin are clearly displayed before any booking is confirmed — there are no hidden uplifts or end-of-month surprises.

Are your candidates fully vetted?

Every candidate on rTriibe goes through full safer-recruitment checks before they ever appear in a search result: enhanced DBS on the update service, references, qualifications, right-to-work, identity, and an interview with one of our team. We follow KCSIE and DfE guidance.

Do we have to sign a contract?

You sign our standard terms of business when you onboard, but there are no minimum-spend requirements, retainers, or exclusivity clauses. Use us when you need us.

How do timesheets and invoicing work?

The candidate logs hours worked in the app at the end of each shift. You confirm with one click, and we generate the invoice automatically. Invoices are downloadable from the platform any time.

Can we set preferred candidates?

Yes. Any candidate you've worked with can be added to your preferred list, and the app will surface them first whenever you post a matching shift. You can also block candidates if needed.

What happens if a candidate doesn't show up?

The app re-matches the shift to the next-best available candidate as soon as a no-show is flagged. Most replacements are confirmed within minutes. Our 24/7 cover line escalates urgent cases manually so you're not left hunting.

Repeat no-shows are removed from the active candidate pool — reliability is one of the things our matching engine actively weights for.

How do you handle complaints about a candidate?

Flag any concern through the app or email ask@rtriibe.com. We acknowledge complaints within one working day, investigate properly, and feed the outcome back to you. Serious safeguarding concerns are escalated immediately and may result in the candidate being suspended pending review.

Can we get a candidate removed from our list?

Yes. Any candidate can be added to your school's block list in the app, and they'll never appear in your search results or get sent your shifts again. No explanation required.

How do I register?

Send us your CV through the contact page or email ask@rtriibe.com. One of our team will be in touch within a working day to walk you through the next steps — interview, vetting, and getting your profile live.

How do I see what I'll be paid for a shift?

The pay rate is shown on every shift before you accept it. There's no "we'll let you know later" — what you see is what you'll be paid, and you can decide whether the shift's worth it on those terms.

When and how do I get paid?

Pay is weekly via PAYE — no umbrella companies, no complicated arrangements. Submit your timesheet through the app at the end of each shift and your wage lands in your bank the following week.

Do I need a DBS?

Yes — to work in any UK school, you'll need an enhanced DBS on the update service. If you don't have one yet, we can help you apply during your registration.

Can I work with other agencies too?

Yes. We don't ask for exclusivity. Plenty of our rTriibers also work with other agencies — we just aim to be the one you actually want to use most.

How do I access CPD training?

Once you're a registered, active candidate, the full CPD library is available free in the app. You can complete courses any time, and certificates are added to your profile automatically.

What if I'm not happy with my pay or a shift?

Talk to us. Email ask@rtriibe.com or message us in the app and we'll look into it within one working day. If a school has paid the wrong rate or hours, we'll correct it. If a placement isn't working out, we'll find you something that does. The whole point of rTriibe is fair work, so anything that doesn't feel fair gets fixed.

About the platform

Is there an app for phones?

Yes — the rTriibe app is available for iOS and Android, and there's a full web platform for schools too. Most candidates manage everything from their phone; most school admins use the desktop view.

How does the AI matching work?

The matching engine scores every available candidate against each shift on factors including qualifications, experience, distance, your school's previous bookings, and candidate preferences. The highest-fit matches surface first — but you always make the final call.

Where in the UK do you operate?

We have specialist desks across West Yorkshire, the East Midlands, the West Midlands, Manchester, Merseyside, and the Wirral — covering thousands of primary, secondary, independent, and SEN settings. Each desk is staffed by consultants who know the schools in their patch.

Is my data safe?

Yes. rTriibe is fully GDPR-compliant. Personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and you can request a full export or deletion of your data at any time — see our privacy policy or email ask@rtriibe.com.
